Sponsor a School

🟠🟢 CALLING ALL BUSINESSES 🟢🟠

We are asking businesses and organisations to support us in supporting children and young people!

For just £30.00 we can send ‘THREE’ S&L Self-Harm Distraction Kits into a school or educational setting of your choice.

Our aim:

With at least 1 in 15 children and young people thought to self-harm, it is so important to get distraction kits into educational settings, to break the cycle of self-harm, before it becomes a habit and their go to coping strategy.

Our kits aim to provide the information and tools to recognise safer methods of dealing with difficult emotions and distract from the need to self-harm.

What do you get in return?

A shout out on our media pages and the knowledge that you have potentially saved a life.

🟠 159,857 people present at hospitals each year due to self-harm in the UK

🟢 39% of cases involve males, while 61% involve females.

🟠 Between 2012 and 2022, child mental health hospital admissions rose by 65%, largely due to self-harm, and numbers are significantly rising year on year.

Our 24 piece distraction kits are designed to support children, young people, and adults who self-harm by providing healthy, safe alternatives to manage overwhelming emotions and urges.

Specifically, they are intended to:

1. Offer Immediate Support

Provide tools and resources that can be used in the moment to distract from self-harming behaviours.

2. Promote Emotional Regulation

Encourage positive coping strategies like grounding techniques, sensory stimulation, and emotional expression.

3. Empower Independence

Help individuals learn to manage their emotions in a self-directed, empowering way.

4. Support Mental Wellbeing

Reduce feelings of isolation and distress through thoughtful items that promote calm, comfort, and self-care.

5. Aid Those Who Care for Others

Give parents, teachers, and professionals an approachable, practical way to support someone struggling with self-harm.

If you are interested in sponsoring a school, please either send us an email on sally@harmdistractionkits.co.uk
